Joe O’Callaghan has an Engineering Degree from University College Cork, Ireland; an MBA from the Open University and has been working with the Leading Edge Group as a consultant and trainer for 15 years. In that time he was worked with many client companies and has successfully facilitated and driven hundreds of improvement projects. Joe has worked with clients in healthcare, supply chain, manufacturing service and construction sectors.
Before his consultancy work, he worked in a variety of multinational companies where he had a range of roles – culminating with the role of VP of Engineering with responsibility for locations in the US and in Ireland.
In addition to this Joe also lectures in UCC. He has delivered the Lean SCM Green Belt certificate as part of UCC’s Certificate/Diploma in Supply Chain Management. This course is provided by the Department of Food Business & Development and Joe has been delivered that Lean Green Belt training in that course every year since 2006. Finally Joe also directs the UCC Diploma in Food Manufacturing Management since 2016.
